About Alex
Hello! I'm Alexandria ("Alex") Weiss, a Licensed Massage Therapist in Ohio. My practice is located at Collective Good Integrative Health on the border of Dayton and Oakwood.
I began practicing massage therapy in 2023 after completing my training at the Dayton School of Medical Massage, where I studied anatomy, physiology, pathology, and a variety of Swedish and therapeutic massage techniques. Since graduating, I have completed more than 140 hours of continuing education to expand my skills and better serve my clients.
I am trained in a variety of modalities, including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, passive stretching, intra-oral TMJ massage, lymphatic drainage, and Swedish massage. While I enjoy helping clients relax and recharge, my greatest passion is medical massage and helping people find relief from chronic pain and complex conditions.
Some of the conditions I frequently work with include TMJ dysfunction, whiplash, migraines and headaches, occipital and trigeminal neuralgia, frozen shoulder, thoracic outlet syndrome, and scoliosis. Every client is unique, and I enjoy developing individualized treatment plans that support each person's goals and needs.
As a VA provider, I am honored to work with Veterans and support their health and wellness journeys.
I also offer a sliding-scale clinic on weekday evenings because I believe quality massage therapy should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing improvements in my clients' comfort, mobility, and overall well-being. I strive to create a treatment environment where clients feel safe, respected, and in control. Whether you prefer a silent session, a change in pressure, different music, or adjustments to room temperature, your comfort and preferences are always welcome.
Outside of my practice, I am a graduate student studying special education and serve as an AmeriCorps member during the school year, tutoring students with reading intervention goals. When I'm not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with family, practicing Tai Chi and yoga, writing, and exploring new stories—both on the page and on screen.
With a busy life and many competing responsibilities, I have come to appreciate the value of slowing down and being fully present. Massage therapy offers that opportunity for both practitioner and client: a chance to reconnect, reset, and support the body's natural capacity for healing.
